Minka came to us unexpectedly.   She came along for the ride one day, when a young mini filly was being delivered to us.  Minka came just to help the little filly cope with the her first trailer ride.  When Minka came out, Dale fell in love.  He just had to have her and he did.  He called her his little Friesian.  We were told that she was definitely not pregnant, but 6 weeks later she surprised us with a darling palomino colt!  I thought I was seeing a ghost when I saw him in her corral that early misty morning!  Cracker was a curious little guy and one day when he was only a few months old, he sneaked across our bridge and tasted a deadly plant, Oleander.  We were only out of his sight for a few minutes feeding another mare.  When we got up the next morning he had gone to heaven.  He was the sweetest little angel and we missed him very much.  We decided to breed Minka again and took her to Boo at R Little Acres Ranch.  She did not produce a foal that year so we went back again.  Second time was the charm!  In 2003, out came Scout!  What a character!  He is full of trot and mischief. Also kisses!  After another year off, Minka wanted another baby so we took her to a prince of a guy, MCRS Eclipses Thunder Cloud.  We hope she will deliver us a carbon copy of him in 2006.  It would be fun to have a pair of black and whites to drive.     Update, this is Scout, Minka's '03 son.  We are in the Ellensburg Rodeo Parade and havin' fun!
